OCS Inventory wins Best Project Community Award

During its annual conference, OW2 revealed the winners of the OW2con'23 Best Project Awards in the technology, market, and community categories.

In the Technology category, the OW2con'23 Best Project Technology Award is presented to ASM, a Java code analysis and manipulation framework. Supported by OW2 since 2002, this software engineering library has achieved a maturity level rating (MRL) of 6, developed by Eric Bruneton during his PhD at INRIA.

In the Market category, the OW2con'23 Best Project Market Award goes to BlueMind, an open-source platform for messaging, collaboration, and scheduling. Its video conferencing features and connectors like Active Directory and Outlook are available via subscription, positioning the platform as a sovereign alternative to Microsoft Online Exchange and Google Workspace, particularly for European organizations.

In the Community category, the OW2con'23 Best Project Community Award is awarded to OCS Inventory, an open-source IT asset management system integrating software deployment solutions. It addresses IT support needs with a central server, SNMP protocol compliance, and robust reporting capabilities, serving to manage PC and device fleets of all sizes effectively.

The project, initiated by the Gendarmerie National, is now a community project, with FactorFX as the main publisher of the solution.

The editorial team is open and inspired by user contributions to continually improve the tool. Thanks to this 20-year partnership with the community, OCS Inventory is developing in a sustainable and responsible way, with proven efficiency.
